The new Itaipu Binacional Tier III Data Center is a world leading data center in the production of clean energy, located in Foz do Iguaçu (southern Brazil).
This Data Center is not just a building; it is also a tangible expression of a commitment to innovation and efficiency.
In this sense, the facade cladding from ULMA played a significant role.
Commitment to efficiency
For a Data Center like this one, one factor of particular importance is thermal insulation, as the refrigeration and air conditioning systems inside the building operate 24 hours a day.
In addition, with a location near the Iguazú Falls, durability and protection from humidity was another major priority.
At ULMA, we made sure to fully meet these demands, not just thanks to a facade cladding construction system, but also thanks to our material.

Stoneo, a sustainable and durable material
Stoneo, the material that we used to produce the panels on our facades is made from stone, and is almost entirely composed of recycled and natural components (aggregates).
It is almost fully water resistant, can withstand environments with significant changes in temperature and is available in bespoke sizes, all factors that make the product unique.
A material offers significant flexibility when it comes to size, color and texture. It combines both aesthetics and functionality, meeting requirements objectively and extending the service life of the building.
In summary, it provides an impeccable and innovative aesthetic to enhance the appearance of the building.
